Indian 2: 3 Dead, 10 Injured Post A Crane Crash On The Sets Of Kamal Haasan Film

In a shocking turn of events, three people were killed on the sets of Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film Indian 2 on Wednesday night. As per the local media, the tragedy took place during the construction of the sets and those who lost their lives, were sitting on the crane and it soon broke apart and fell on the ground. It also added that around 10 people ended up being badly injured. The incident took place in Chennai’s EVP Film City.
A police official reported NDTV, “The men were inside the box-like structure on top of the crane when it crashed. It appears they were working on lighting for the shoot. The accident happened at 9:30 pm on Wednesday.” Taking to his Twitter account, Kamal Haasan mourned the tragic demise of his colleagues and also expressed his utter grief on the loss. “I have faced and overcome many accidents, but today's is the most horrific one. I lost three colleagues. The distress of their family members will be many times greater than my own pain. I share their grief as one of them. My deepest condolences to them," wrote the actor.

It was being reported that director Shankar, too, ended up with a fractured leg; however, they were rubbished soon. Shankar’s personal assistant Madhu, 29, and assistant director Krishna, 34, were among the three people who lost their lives in the accident. Kamal Haasan took the responsibility of the remaining cast and crew’s safety and he also made arrangements for the injured to be rushed to the hospital immediately.
